How to straighten part? in Custom Workstation by Dormammu-1976
Tuesday, March 29, 2022
   [Edit]
I have a ML Grin Reaper and the main shaft that extends from his wrist to the scythe end is bend somewhat. I've tried bending it the opposite way and holding it but it only stays straight for a few moments. Does anyone know a proven, safe technique for straightening this part permanently? I though of driving a needle down through it, but that seems very difficult....[See More]

There's no hard and fast rule on it. The idea is you're trying to rapidly cool the soft plastic in the correct shape so it "sets" for lack of a better term, but that should happen pretty quickly submerged in water.

So probably the best way to do this is to heat the plastic to make it more pliable, either with a heat gun or boil method, then quickly cool it using ice water or somesuch. Its not perfect, but it does help to cause the plastic to retain the correct shape.

So after the soak in the hot water, just plunge it into ice water? How long should I keep it in the ice bath? Should be easy enough, although it might be tricky holding it straight and steady.
DC Spinmaster Penguin in Custom Workstation by Daremo

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone has gotten the new DC Batman 2022 4" Penguin figure by Spinmaster. Wondering how he scales with the old 3.75 Marvel Universe line for a custom Kingpin. Thanks for your help....[See More]

We're probably way past the need for this, but I have that penguin and... it's fine for that, sort of? It is about the size of a mu figure and works fine for a live action Kingpin figure, but I'd say its a bit too... small for a comic kingpin.

Female muscular base body in Custom Workstation by TheEnter
Sunday, March 13, 2022
   [Edit]
Hello! I was looking to make "Mirko" (bunny lady) from "My Hero Academia" to go with the rest of my figma and revoltech gang. Pictures can be found here: https://myheroacademia.fandom.com/wiki/ ... lery#Anime
Thing is, most of the female bodies I have seen are not muscular enough, both Figma's archetype line and SH. Figuarts body-chan seem too slender. And the Marvel Legends molds haven't seen to be what I'm looking for.
Could someone help me out?
Thanks!...[See More]

Hi, you could look at the Legends She Hulk or the newer mold of the figure Shriek. You could use the head from Legends White Rabbit. Hope this helps-Dave

Hi everyone! Not sure if I’m posting this in the right forum but I’ve searched everywhere to get a custom figurine of my boyfriend made, he’s a wrestler. He’s a really cool dude and I think it would be a cute birthday gift. He would be relatively easy to make, just a white guy with dark features. I would send pictures of course. Please email or IM me if you could take this on, how much you’d want for it, or if you know anyone who could help me out! Thanks so much for any help! ...[See More]
Looking for 1/18 soft goods in Custom Workstation by TheRubicon
Tuesday, February 22, 2022
   [Edit]
Hey guys. I’m trying to find someone who makes 1/18 scale soft goods (clothes and capes, etc.) in a kind of Star Wars/post-apo flavor. Any links you could share or customizers here doing that? I have no patience for sewing, especially not this small. I am in awe of those that do.

Thanks as always....[See More]
How to turn Y-joints into ball-joints on 3.75 figures, please ? in Custom Workstation by jakezek

It would seem like a much needed modification - there should be a staple method to do it... How come there is absolutely no information on how to resolve that *endemic* problem ? So much flow and motion is lost in those hinge hip joints......[See More]
Bionic Commando in Custom Workstation by Cannibal869
Sunday, January 30, 2022
   [Edit]
Hi all, hoping everyone is having a good weekend so far! I’ve been lurking around these parts for a lil’ while now, and have even uploaded a few customs to the gallery.

Here is my latest custom WIP. I’ve been missing some of my old video game heroes and one that I’ve been wanting to make for a little while now in 1:12 / 6” GI Joe Classified scale is Bionic Commando.

https://www.imgur.com/a/A8HfTjR

I started with a Classified Gung Ho base and took the left upper arm / shins and feet from a 7” DC Cyborg (poor Ray always gets the shaft!!!). The left forearm and claw hand came off of a Pacific Rim the Black Atlas Destroyer figure.

I’m planning on trying out a 1:12 Green tank top and then head swapping with another figure. Any suggestions?...[See More]
Sandman (Spiderman 3) in Custom Workstation by TomatoisJP
Monday, December 27, 2021
   [Edit]
Lss, I'd like to add a movie version of Sandman to my shelf for when we inevitability get more NWH figures, but even if we get one of him it'll be in sand form and the old SM3 figure is not a great substitute.

I considered making it easy on myself and getting the recent Sandman with a new head, but the build doesn't really match Thomas Hayden Church, and the sleeves are too long anyway.

Looking for something a bit leaner to use as a base instead, but i cant think of anything offhand. MCU Luke Cage is too bulky also.

This is to be in scale with ML, if that wasn't clear....[See More]
