Movies you Love but everyone else hates. in Off Topic by CrazzyRazzy

So what some are movies that everyone hates, has poor reviews, did poorly at the box office, or you just feel they are underrated?

For me:
Robocop 3 and Robocop 2014- I loved all the Robocop movies including these ones. Robocop 3 was silly but fun and the 2014 version had some cool things. I actually like the black suit and the actor Joel Kinnaman was good.
Iron Man 2
Alien 3- Such an underrated movie. The Alien design is the best its ever been and the actors are just outstanding
Spiderman 3
Jaws: The Revenge- I just didn't hate it..can't explain why. I love all the Jaws movies
The Lone Ranger
Halloween 5
Under the Skin- This movie whilst it has gotten very good reviews is very much a "Love it or Hate it" movie. I love it
The Asylum's wor...[See More]

I don't have the capacity to love

Not sure if I like a film everyone hates since I don't watch movies much, im really picky anyway. Was the new Robocop really hated? I like the new design, movie had cool action and robots, whats not to like!

I like The Hammer, though you almost have to have lived that lifestyle to fully appreciate the humor. ...

Nice you listed Alien 3 and Halloween 5 (so much for "everyone else" hating them ), Alien 3 is probably my least favorite of the franchise but there's still plenty to enjoy, I think it gets the hatred for unceremoniously killing off Newt and Hicks almost before the movie even starts. And Halloween 5 isn't the worst of the series (that would either be 6 or that ridiculous one with the rapper... or 3, if you count that one even though it didn't include Micheal Myers), not the best by a long shot either, but it can be fun and even a bit ridiculous (Micheal sure spent a LOT of time behind the wheel in that one, and when did the run down old Myers home get a remodel? lol!).

@ Under the Skin- was it cuz of all that nudity?
J/K I also liked it a lot- a modern interpretation of Frankenstein! 2014 Robocop was pretty good 2.

I agree I just came back and the site is all different. I have to say the new setup isn't that easy to navigate compared to the old forum setup. The site was getting slower last time I was here but now it looks like it's just a stop for ebay sales.

I suppose this one is for the members who have been around, active and remember them, but can anyone tell me what ever happened to the 'Toy-Soup' forum and guys like Kyle Robinson, VariablePenguin, Dr. Nightmare, yadda yadda? Being MIA for a few years, it was surprising to come back and see many members that used to be real active in the community seem to have disappeared and other sites closed down. Granted, there may have been...circumstances that led to this, and I DON'T want to open any can or past worms or anything so it might be better to just PM me, but like I said, it was kind of surprising to see so many disappearances.

With that said, it is nice to see the community still prospering and the talent and skills ...[See More]

I think Nightmare quit due to financial reasons, if I remember correctly.
One day he just said he was done, and disappeared.
I'm STILL trying to get over it. I used to love his blog where he'd review dollar-store food, and talk about his red-headed neighbors.

Thanks for that. Like I said, I was just curious. Granted it's been a few years and people drop in and out of the hobby, but at the time they were some of the most involved members of the FR community as well as some of the more 'famous' ones, and I couldn't find anything like financial issues, or anything-pretty much like they just dropped off the map one day, so I wondered.

I do remember the TS boards costing Kyle to run though...not to mention constantly being down for one reason or another...

Kyle Robinson near as I can tell sold everything and got out. Ticked off a lot of guys by closing down Toysoup with no notice. Brian Moman/VariablePenguin sold off his stuff but still has a Facebook page. Kyle's page has been dead for a while. Not sure where Dr. Nightmare went.

- So I had the most badass (excuse my french) dream last night. Essentially it was my own rendition of Avengers: Age of Ultron. It was the "origin" for the movie; it was somewhat illogical. (Caution: IT'S LONG.)

The Avengers (Thor, Hawkeye, and Iron Man) were fighting, don't know who but they were fighting inside Tony's mansion and it led to Tony getting thrown thrown through a wall and smashing through his lab where a a ton of gadgets were there to break his fall. His Iron Man suit had a shortage which caused Tony's suit to malfunction. The electricity surged through a bunch of wires and went into a new and improved Iron suit Tony was working on. (At this point Thor and Hawkeye didn't show up again). All of a sudden all the lights turn...[See More]

First and foremost: The Suffering. Criminally underappreciated, you play as a convict recently admitted to a prison on an island with a history of nothing but death (I think its a allegory of Poveglia Island in Italy). The place had become so blood soaked through its history that supernatural manifestations of death begin to surface and slaughter all they see. the game did a great job with atmosphere, story, and creature design is excellent, I have made and am making more custom figures based upon them. Its an xbox original, backward compatible with 360, rated M, One of my all time favorites. its sequel is ok.

Then there is Condemned: Criminal Origins and its sequel Bloodshot. Another great atmosphere game, you play as an FBI detective hunting a serial killer who has framed you for murd ...

Hey, long time viewer, first time poster.

Firstly, everyone on here is tremendously talented. The customs on this site are great. I'm hoping to post something soon.

Secondly, I'm Blair AKA Shocking_Stuff. I'm a male from Brisbane, Australia. I'm new to the customization world. 3 3/4 scale is where I work.

Lastly, my question. Why does the Red Hulk not have a mustache?...[See More]

Welcome. The answer is mostly that it was a plot device to keep the readers from guessing the identity. The writers/artists later explained it by showing his extra mass growing over his shorter body hairs including eyebrows, chest, and what have you. The theory on why other Hulks do not experience this phenomena is that Ross is unique in that he is a product of both gamma and cosmic radiation.
