Can someone please recommend me the best base body for this character?

This one might not be the best, but it does have the basic shape of the character you want to make.

How strong is milliput? in Custom Workstation by nobo13
Sunday, December 13, 2020
   [Edit]
Was using a different brand of epoxy putty (but alas it's dried out and brittle) so ordered milliput. How strong is the hold?

Will be gluing a custom head to a body. Custom head is quite heavy unfortunately. Custom below

I don't know about milliput, but if you want strong you can't go wrong with Gorilla Glue. Once you glue something with that it's never coming off.

Incidentally, how did you make the head? Is it solid sculpt all the way through? You can reduce weight by sculpting over layers of tinfoil. It's an old modeling trick to save sculpting material.
Need help with fixing figure in Custom Workstation by Charliescustomtoys
Tuesday, December 8, 2020
   [Edit]
Hi, I just bought a Phantom action figure by Cast-A-Way toys. So it’s like a mego style figures. When I found him his hands had yellowed a bit. I tried fixing it using the Hydrogen Peroxide method. I also used a method I found online using Salon Care 40. Neither worked and in fact spread the yellowing. I need help figuring out why. The hands were flexible plastic. Almost rubbery. Could this be partly responsible?...[See More]

this is a custom repaint of the new movie venom marvel legends figure. I have no experience painting figures at all but this just looks amazing and I would love to have a version of my own. How difficult is it to make this? I wouldn't even know where to start....[See More]

I would reccomend checking out the tutorial section then. It covers pretty much any topic you need, including paint applications. I used it extensively when I first started out.

I can try to answer any questions the guides might not cover, but check them out first.

Alright, you need parts from two figures for this. You need movie Venom's body, and an older ML Venom head. You would need to paint over the veins and paint the symbol on the body and swap out the heads. Technically this would be a simple custom, you just need to paint the symbol, seal it, and you're done.

It's not a bad choice for a beginner. I recommend painting the symbol on some practice figures first until you're confident you can do it on the movie venom.

If you prefer you can hire someone make one for you. I'd encourage trying it out yourself first just to see what you can do.
Working on Origins Battle Cat in Custom Workstation by SuperSeanski

   [Edit]
Could anyone suggest the best paint to use on the new Battle Cat? I don't have an airbrush, so I'm looking for spray paint ideally, black and a dark metallic gunmetal grey. I plan on painting the cat as well as the armor, and I'm not sure what kind of plastic they're made of....[See More]
Adding articulation. in Custom Workstation by Spindlejack

Does anyone know any good quality articulation joints for custom work? Specifically I’m interested in adding elbow and knee joints and maybe articulated hands to a large baby doll. I’m trying to turn it into a Cthulhu for marvel legends scale figures lol....[See More]

Trouble is I need large joints. Like for a two foot tall doll.

Yeah, look into BIONICLE LEGO, lots of ball-socket joints you can chop up. They're sturdy joints, but you can always find ways to reinforce them if you have to.

Otherwise, look into stuff like lamps with goosenecks and harvest the bendy shafts for bendy joints. You might even find useful stuff in the kitchen section of stores.

Buy grab bags of revoltech joints on ebay.

There are also joints for stuff like gundams and figmas etc that are sold on blister cards. They're mainly ball-socket joints.

You can also buy garbage Marvel Legends figures for like $5 and harvest joints. ...

Pixars Knick Knack in Custom Workstation by SnowManHunter
Friday, October 16, 2020
   [Edit]
Knick Knack is a 1989 American computer-animated short film produced by Pixar and directed by John Lasseter. The short is about a snow globe snowman who wants to join the other travel souvenirs in a summer-themed party. However, the glass dome that surrounds him prevents him from doing so, thus leading to his many attempts to break out of his snow globe. Knick Knack is Pixar's fourth short and the final short produced during the company's tenure as a hardware company.

Hand-sculpted and painted Anfernee Penny Hardaway figure in Custom Workstation by Chris_Figureland
Sunday, September 27, 2020
   [Edit]
Good day everyone. Here are a few pictures of my latest sculpture, former NBA superstar Anfernee Penny Hardaway. Penny was a superstar in his early years with the Orlando Magic, both on and off the court. However, some devastating knee injuries ruined his career sadly.

The figure is about 4 inch tall, made of polymer clay, fully sculpted from scratch and hand painted, hope you guys enjoy!
