Swamp Thing is a human-like creature covered with vegetation who fights to protect his swamp home, the environment, and humanity, from various supernatural threats, and the occasional run-in with the mad Dr. Anton Arcane. At the same time he seeks a means to return himself to his human form after being transformed into the Swamp Thing from chemicals in a lab explosion.
