Im with you on number 2 my wife and 13 year old daughter are even bigger star wars fans then me but when they watch episode two I check out until Yoda fights dooku.

I didn't even consider the possibility of a six inch line...now I am very excited for the possibilities. I wonder if Dinsey will now enter in to some extreme partnership with Hasbro seeing as they own two of Hasbro's biggest money makers

I know a 6 inch is never going to happen but I can dream lol. It took me 3 times to finish episode 2, I fell asleep every time I watched it lol.

With Disney at the helm it would be awesome if we could get to see some 6 inch scale figures. I mean nothing would be anywhere in the immediate future but it would be awesome. I have to agree that 1-3 were terrible (2 was almost unwatchable for me) and to get some fresh talent into the world will be incredible. It's not like we are going to get a low budget SW movie. Disney is going to pump so much money into them that it's not even funny. I have been extremely happy with Disney and Marvel thus far and from what I gather, we really haven't had any negative from the accusition. I think this is great as Disney will be pumping this stuff out till we are old lol.

Like I said, I have loved Star Wars for as long as I can remember. So the idea of more films does intrigue me, although the idea of Disney owning every franchise does worry me. I am hoping we will at least get some decent figures from it.

yAAAAAAYYYYYY!! more starwars can only be a good thing. As another loyal SW fan I gotta say, I'm kinda glad the money from it (and it will be a lot) will not be going into lucas' pockets, I think he's made more than enough from it and his ideas have started to stagnate a little. I mean how many more special editions do we need? let someone else with fresh ideas take a stab, it worked for the Clone Wars.

As for Leia being a disney princess, why not? I think she woul be great and could give young girls a very different kind of role model in the way she won't be "fluffy and Pink". So yeah, not that I have a say in the matter but I'm up for it. Especially if she's in her bikini

I suppose that it is all a matter of opinion, I do agree that the acting in Star Wars is terrible, but I did find episode 3 to be enjoyable. I also don't like George Lucas, I think he might have lost afew marbles along the way. But come on, you don't find the prospect of Pirncess Leia being a new main Disney Princess nausiating?

I think that would be great if Leia was a Disney Princess. I have a young daughter that's into the whole princess thing and I think it would be phenomenal to start seeing Leia stuff when we go shopping for her toys. Besides Star Wars has been merchandised to death, it's not like Disney could do any worse.

I again agree 1000000000% percent. I also have young daughters and out of ALL of them only one is in to star wars. It will be far easier to share my love of Star Wars with them now that its Disney

why would I? why would it matter. As nerds we need to really let go of our egos and stop believe the things we enjoy are some perfect creation that need be protected like a national monument or holy book. I have been a Star Wars fan since I was about 5 and as a true fan I feel it is my job to enjoy the good and point out the bad. Princess leia becoming a new disney princess (as far fetched as that is) is in no way worse then the creation of Jar Jar Binks or the Christmas special both designed for no other reason to sell to kids which would be the only reason they would add Leia to the cast of princess'

Like I said disney has had stock in Star Wars for a lot longer then you know they currently have storm troopers walking around disneyland and the ride is very enjoyable. This is something else they do in Disneyworld Florida some elitist Star Wars fans find it insulting and stupid...I LOVE IT!!!

I'm very excited by this! The propect of new Star Wars film not made by Lucas is awesome! I could care less that it's Disney, I predict it will be better for the franchise than being owned by Lucas himself.

Thats just assanine. They have yet to ruin any of marvel and star wars was ruined long ago so all this doom and gloom BS is a bit premature. How bout we wait to see how 7-9 are are mean lets get real they can't be any worse then 1-3 and for those less in the know Disney has had stuck in lucas films for a veeeeeery long time now.

I agree with sphiroth. Good riddance to George Aka Mr. Can't decide before he kills someone that he will want to use them again. Where me and sephiroth do disagree though is disney hunting down customizers and what not as per the third party avengers props are selling strong through multiple outlets

P.S Yami posted this in the movie and TV show forum

Yeah everyone into costuming and buying custom props are in fits because unlike lucas disney'll hunt you down. they didn't say if they got the rights to Indy yet too. I say good riddence to George as he didn't want to give fans what they wanted: the original trilogy as it was in the theater without cgi.

Just heard this today, and thought I would spread the news. I think this time Disney went too far. It was bad enough them buying Marvel, but now they own Star Wars too. And the sad thing is, that Disney made more money on the Avengers movie, than it cost them to buy all of Star Wars. Star Wars was a big part of my childhood, and I just can't tolerate the idea of Disney wrecking it.
