You know, I was perfectly fine with J. Jonah Jameson on the Chameleon body; he's worn a full suit plenty of times. Then I started seeing pics of the new Klaue figure, and even a custom using that body for the constant, loud mouthed thorn in Spider-Man's side. I really liked what I saw, and knew I had to take a stab at it, too.

This was a very easy custom to make; I'd highly recommend it if you're just starting out or one who doesn't dabble in the hobby of making your own figures too often.

Recipe:
Head: J. Jonah Jameson (from the Rhino Series' Chameleon figure)
Body: Ulysses Klaue
Forearms and fists: 6-Armed Spider-Man
Gripping hand: Either Netflix Punisher or Star-Lord
Newspaper: 5" J. Jonah Jameson figure

I used an X-acto knife to cut into the Klaue arms (I used both of the interchangeable arms) and removed the peg-disk that was held in place. After that, I heated and removed two arms (from the forearms down) from the recent 6-Armed Spider-Man figure (I ordered a case and had extra of him; at least that figure is coming in handy for fodder). Once that was done, I reheated the forearm, placed the peg-disk from the Klaue arms inside, and pushed the peg from the Spidey figure in, which thus married the two parts together. I then popped them back into the Klaue sleeves with ease.

For the gripping hand, I popped out the one fist for a Star-Lord or Netflix Punisher hand; easy-peasy. It does swivel a little loosely, but nothing too distracting, at least, not for me. He holds the newspaper without any problems, and that's what counts.

I repainted his tie red, and touched up his white shirt a little (the paint on this vest overlay was a little sloppy). With the paints I used, I guess this figure is a bit of an homage to the 90's JJJ figure, and the JJJ with the phone webbed to his face as he looks out the window from an old Spider-Man Classics figure (he was an accessory of some sort).

As you all know, those JJJ head's were badly painted when it came to the mustache, eyebrows, and hair. So I repainted those with a flat black; I made the eyebrows a little bushier as suggested by the sculpt, filled out the mustache and made the hair all black without any bald spots.

And there you have it! An easy, yet very cool J. Jonah Jameson custom. My Spider-Man figures are gonna hate me...
