I dccided to make a custom of the multiverse version of the figure over the dc collectables version due to the scale of the dcc version being in my opinion too tall to fit in even with other 7 inch action figures. First of all after watching the show and looking at the figure I thought something wasn't right, after close inspection I discovered that the legs and arms were too long, the shoulders weren't right and the flesh colour of the skin looked weird. first I boiled the legs in hot water letting the plastic soften up enough for the legs to be removed below the knee. once that was done I cut a good portion of the legs off so that the figure wouldn't look so clumsy. Improving the arms was easy enough. For this I took the marvel legends Kate Bishop Hawkeye as her arms were appropriately toned, removed them and repainted them in a flat blue to match the supergirl suit, Attaching them wasn't easy, I had to remove supergirl's head and wedge the upper torso piece apart from the seam lines. once this was done I sanded down the new arms shoulder pegs and managed to get them to fit into the shoulder sockets nice and snug. Next on the agenda was the face, I tried my best to get the closest skin tone to Melissa Benoist's by mixing flat flesh with white and gently dabbing it on with a small brush finishing off with a flat earth colour for the eyebrows which blend well together. The final piece was the fabric and wire cape. Keeping in mind this was my first attempt at making a wire cape, the material used is a thick red satin and glued down at the shoulder, unfortunatelly for the wire attaching I only had orange thread but it seems to hold things together.
