Isaac Bowin (get it? I.Bowin because it was the 40's and your secret identity had to relate to your power) learned hypnotism through music from an old Hindu fakir while in jail in India. Bowin later returned to the U.S. where he would go on to be a sour note in the life of Jay Garrick, the original Flash. Eventually, he would join the Injustice Society and Injustice Gang where he would often come into conflict with the Justice Society and Justice League. Bowin was later killed by Deadshot after a mission as a member of the Secret Six. I made a Fiddler several years ago for myself, or rather I composed a Fiddler since we're talking music here. But for that version I used an older looking male head to represent the Fiddler as he appeared when he was briefly with the Secret Six. For this commissioned version I was asked to make a more youthful version of the violinist, so though the body is the same, the head combo is different. The body of course being that of the Joker from the short-lived Batman '66 line. I tried stringing together a few head combos until I settled on some DCUC Kamandi hair and a Funko Game of Thrones Jaime Lannister head. I wasn't sure how it would look until after I repainted it, and afterwards I thought the smirk kind of gave the violent violinist a smarmy look. For some reason that felt appropriate for a musical supervillain. And then the last necessity, the violin, was a dollhouse miniature I picked up off the eBay. Oh, and the hands were also froma DCUC Kamandi, the pointing Joker '66 hand might've looked go for taking requests from the crowd, but not so much for playing--had to make sure I wasn't playing second fiddle with his appearance. Ah, fiddle sticks and fiddle puns. And viola! (that's a violin--Bob) Thanks for looking! ![]() |
