Jubilee (Jim Lee) (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:9928
Name:Jubilee (Jim Lee)
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:Wings
Date Added:September 13, 2008
Base Figure:ML Psylocke
Height:5.50 inches
The last of my Jim Lee updates is everyones favourite mall rat! I used Psylocke for the shorter body and use the Deathstrike head idea I'd seen on here. I sculpted her gloves and hair and used foam for her shades and fringe. Her 'fireworks' are a mixture of different projectile heads from Iron Man and Ghost Rider movie figures held together with hot glue.

Well, CD cases are a little thick, but if you sculpt the figure to compensate for the thickness, then it works. Other than that, the plastic that just about anything comes packaged in works, but usually it doesn't hold its shape too well.

CD Case is a new one on me - isn't it a lil thick? I could use the soft plastic wallets a lot of them come in with red ink... cheers for the feedback guys it's tips like these that make me better!

Great figure, I agree about using the plastic clamshell from a figure, or a CD case.
In the past, I have cut softer plastic CD cases with an x-acto knife. You need to wear safety glasses or goggles when doing it though, because the hard plastic ones can shatter, and the softer plastic ones are just REALLY hard to cut.

I tried using the clamshell from the packaging before but it was too delicate and kept falling apart, what packaging works for you dude?

Nice custom, but I have to agree about the shades.
Try cutting the shades out of the clear plastic packaging.
That's what I use for all my glasses. Maybe it'll work for you.

Hey Punstarr thanks for the comment! As Jubes number 1 fan I'm glad you like the fireworks as I was pretty happy with the result. The collar does make the head look like its been dropped on her neck and I'm still trying to figure out the perfect way to do the shades. Angels always look too big or loose and the plastic ones I've made before are too fragile. I'll no doubt visit the character again one day to take another crack at her in one of her outfits though

You just knew I was gonna comment on this figure, didn't you?
Well, let's see... the paint job is stellar as usual and the fireworks look very sweet. I really dig what you did with them. That said, I'm not a fan of the foam glasses and collar and I'm really not feeling the head. Her mouth looks off somehow, so unlike how I envision Jubes. That said, I really have to commend you on your sculpting job for her hair. It looks really good. You've done quite a few Jubilee customs and for that, I salute you.
