This Thanos was a pretty complicated build. I really wanted to capture his physique and appearance in the old Silver Surfer Animated Series from the 90s. The underlying body is a mashup between Marvel Legends Age of Ultron Hulk (toso, upper arms, and fists), Marvel legends BAF Abomination (T-joints, hips and hands) and Marvel Legends Walmart Exclusive Thanos (head, lower arms, legs and armor). All the parts were heavily modified and resculpted to allow for greater range of motion. I turned the neck into a double ball peg system to afford more movement and blend with the shoulder armor much more. The fabric suit does not hinder any movement and is composed of a durable material. The infinity gauntlet itself was a bit of a chore. I used my baking soda and superglue trick to make the infinity gems and painted them with Tamiya translucent acrylics. I wanted the throne to be a blend of Thanos’ throne and Mistress Death’s Temple from Silver Surfer issue 34. It is extremely heavy as its completely made of resin. The figure was airbrushed, washed, wet blended, and dry brushed with Tamiya acrylics. Thanks for looking.
