About a year ago I bought four Eel figures for $5 a piece at 5 Below. So far, I used one for Sin-Eater, and I figured it was time to use another. I wanted to make someone I don't see Hasbro ever making, despite having all of the parts (adding to my Spider-Man shelf is a bonus); they also have a propensity for making modern versions of characters, so I see them making the female Wraith character before the classic Brian DeWolff (brother of Jean) iteration. With Eel being a purple base body, I knew he would be perfect for ol' Wraith...

Head, body: Eel
Forearms: Boomerang
Hands, boots: Hydra Soldier
Holster: Agent Venom
Gloves: Baron Zemo
Cape: Prowler (HUGE thanks to Stark Resilient for this piece!)

I sanded the forearms down a little to avoid paint rub. I painted the eyes white and gave the head and body a base purple paint with a light purple dry-brushing. Painting the yellow lines were kind of a pain, but I think I managed to make it work. I gave the outside of the cape a dark purple wash and the inside a light purple dry-brushing til about midway down. I painted his holster yellow, and that was it. He was a fairly easy, straight forward custom but I really like how he turned out, especially after I gave him the light purple dry-brushing.
