Jericho is the son of the Teen Titans greatest enemy, Deathstroke. In the early 80's Dc was looking to distance the Teen Titans from the Justice League so they created new characters who were not side-kicks to JL members. Jericho has the ability to control someone just by eye contact. Kind of an odd power, I guess, but certainly nothing like anyone on the Justice League. Since then he's died a few times, gone crazy a few times, survived in another person's body a few times...dude gets around.

So I've been doing customs for a quite a few years now, and a friend who I've done many customs for sent me a cast of a DC Direct Jericho head a couple years ago and told me to hang onto it until I could figure out a good formula for young Joseph Wilson here. And it sat there in my custom WIPs for a few years while ideas percolated in the back of my mind until I thought I had a workable blueprint. Jericho has a pretty unique look, and since Mattel never made a DC Universe Pariah figure, there wasn't much available that directly worked for him. So he's much more of a Frankenstein project then a lot of others I've worked on.

So, he started out with a DC Direct Jericho head cast, as stated. To get that puffy shirt look I used the torso from a DCUC Alan Scott with the vest sculpted on. The cowl piece came of the cape of a Lord Naga figure with a little extra sculpted on the back. The upper arms were from a DCUC Jack Knight Starman figure, while the lower arms came from Lord Naga as well in order to get those big, gold arm bands, while the puffs were sculpted on for the bishop sleeves look (that's a technical term--Bob). I wanted him to have a bulky upper body for that puffy shirt look, but I also wanted him to have a teenage build so I used the skinnier legs from a DCUC Mercury figure with the leg bands sculpted on. The skirt was modified from DCUC Forager skirt, while the belt came off an old Toy Biz ML Namor figure. So, yeah, a lot of figures went into making this one--but no animals were harmed.

And that's that. I'm pretty happy with how he turned out. I'd like to say I plan on making another for myself eventually, but I'm not sure I want accumulate all the right parts again to do so. Fortunately, I made a mold of the Jericho head, so if I ever change my mind...or anyone else wants one I have one on site. Or is that sight? See? That's a Jericho joke. And a bad one at that. Just let it slade, I mean, slide.

Thanks for looking!
