“Find him and close shut the marble jaws of Oblivion!” Emperor Uriel Septim VII is a principle character in the main Elder Scrolls games from Arena to Oblivion. Voiced by Patrick Stewart in ES IV, he becomes instantly iconic to players. Now I was making a different character for my first imperial race entry, but I’ve got it in my head that I’ll have different series of figures and once each set of 10 is complete il release them together. Uriel Septim is meant to be part of my series 2 whilst everyone I’ve done before (excluding Dagoth Ur who is also series 2) is series 1 of my Oblivion figures or wave 1. Essentially the idea is to try and make one character based on each playable race (of which here are 10) and series 2 is more of a specials one, not restricted to one game. The point being I’m making characters involved in the main questlines, but excluding main characters voiced by celebrities. So series 1 is important characters in quests. I might make more but for watch character of wave 1 do the opposite gender for each race previously made to balance it out, but another key component of that is to make designs I haven’t already done so just because I did the Gray Prince doesn’t mean I’m going to do other Gladiators like the Yellow Team female Nord as she’s essentially in the same gear. I want to do a range of outfits and notable characters so I’m making a lot of promises here and work for myself but the Elder Scrolls series has always been one of my favourites. Moving on to this figure. I love the royal robes and intend to get his silver shortsword one day added. The recipe is basically a mix of parts stuck together to get the right scale and articulation: Striders head, Pelenor Aragorns torso, Gondor pippin arms, Legolas wrists and hands, helms deep Aragorn boots, Haldirs thighs and Bilbo’s legs swivel points. Then there’s just Strider hair, Dr Who Witch Robe, Sherrif of Nottingham’s shirt with Aragorns Collar and Jon Snows Fur. Then sculpting! So it’s complex and took a while aging his face adding wrinkles under his eyes and a lower neck chin and eyebrows and more fur, sculpting gold ties and imprinting the cuffs. The Amulet of Kings is just a chain I bought years ago and have used for carrying the one ring on my customs or when chains were needed. I threaded a black catsuit ring zipper through 2 links and stuck a bit of plastic onto it then stuck a see through red diamond I cut out from a bit of other plastic and then sculpted the details and painted the smaller stones. They loom like 8 infinity stones haha! Thanks for looking! ![]() |
