This is a custom I was asked to make of Catra in her cat form from the classic She-Ra cartoon series.

I was asked to make her using a vintage Panthor figure as a base…

As the Panthor figure I was using was quite old, his original flock was a little worn plus I felt the shade of purple used on Panthor was a little too dark for Catra so I decided to remove all Panthor’s original flock & replace it with a slightly brighter purple flock.

I also sculpted Catra’s armour & mask & decided to use gem stones for her eyes & add some glittery detailing to the spikes on her back as I thought this would help make her fit in better with the style of the vintage Princess of Power figures.

Hello nightwing1975! Im a little late to the party here, but I really hope you answere my question. It looks amazing! The flocking job looks excellent! Proffesional factory grade even! Will you PLEASE tell me the steps you took to re-flock it? I know it has to be stripped and de-glued. I collect vintage Panthors & I would love to try it, but I don't think I would like the result. There are so many creases, nookes and crannys. If I did it a little at a time, one small area at a time, I think it would look uneven. Did you suspend it by the foot screw hole, spray glue onto all areas, then turn and coat with flocking? Did you do two coats of flocking? Three? Please tell me I must know! Also, what color flocking did you use and where did you get it from? I greatly look forward to your reply!

can't believe you even changed all the flock. you have skills. it looks great. Did they never do this themselves then? Would seem like an obvious choice to re-use the Cringer mold yet again.

Yea I was surprised they never made an official version of this figure back in the 80’s either.
