I was disappointed that we didn't get a SDCC Black Panther set like the set we got last year for Thor. I was really hoping for a comic Killmonger figure; he was very cool in the story-line "Panther's Rage" and I really wanted a figure of the character (far better than the movie version, I think) to duke it out with T'Challa.

Killmonger's had a wide variety of looks in the comics over the years, so I did an amalgamation of several looks while adding a few creative choices of my own. I X-acto knifed and sandpapered Bishop's goatee off. I then filled in the "M" over his eye with Mlliput. I painted his legs/pants white, as well as the loin cloth. I painted his body brown before drybrushing a lighter brown over it to bring out the details of the sculpt. I filled in Stryfe's gauntlet casts with Milliput before painting them yellow with a light layer of gold over top. I finally finished by painting his eyes, and now one of T-Challa's greatest enemies can go toe-to-toe with him on my shelf, and I couldn't be happier. Well, maybe if we ever got a damned comic Man-Ape/M'Baku...
