Well, here I rather say it is a sculpture with moveble limbs more than a simple figure, because only the wings were what was left from the base. Anyway, here is an overview from the character:

Just like Bagan, the Gryphon was a monster planned to be featured on an AMERICAN Godzilla film during the 90´s. Yes, an American film, where the guys behind some features from the 1998 movie were working previously in such infamous screenplay. Unfortunately the Project became TOO ambitious and it went out of their hands. There Godzilla was going to be a creation of an ancient civilization in order to work as a guardian [anybody said Heisei Gamera? That sounds suspicious], then an alien blob creature comes to Earth an falls into a cave. There takes a bunch of bats and turns them into mutant servants, whose start to gather several Earth creatures, human included, in order to feed the blob and allowing it to create a new body by getting DNA from its food (Orga??). That is how the Gryphon is born.

There are several concepts about it, and mine is somewhat based on the Stan Winston´s, but I changed some of the features giving it my own touch... plus the base had some limitations and worked hard to keep the movility. Anyway I am proud of the figure.
