So here’s my custom Dillon from Predator:
I used Neca Dutch for the legs, sawed the torso off of a Neca Apollo creed, dremeled a ball joint in the lower torso so it would fit the Dutch legs and still retain a hip swivel. Added jungle extraction Dutch hands (painted) and a Neca Rapist vest (trimmed and unpainted).
The head:
I made a resin cast of the Apollo Creed head and a resin cast of the Neca Ultimate Sarah Connor head with hat. I sawed and sanded both casts until they looked like they would fit realistically. I then used apoxie to seal them together and re-molded the hair (had to be sanded off for a natural fit).
I then made another resin cast of the newly formed head and dremeled and drilled a peg hole to fit on the Creed torso. I then painted and sealed with Testors.
I’m still contemplating painting the vest and legs, but this is my first true custom and not sure how to go about painting and sealing soft plastic and joints, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
