When Edward had Emily, his new bride, murdered on their wedding day, her sister placed a curse on the Gracy house that would not allow Edward to rest in piece until 1000 souls wandered the halls: Emily's, Edward's, Phinnius, Ezra, Gus, and her own being the first. But that still left 995 souls to go. Soon Edward hatched a plan to break the curse. He would lure innocent innocent humans into his home, show them around and invite them to stay the night. While they slept, he would set up traps all around the house that would result in their imminent demise.
