I decided to buy this 12 inch Batman to practice before I started messing with the 24 inch one I was about to do. Since detailing the armor was the same process, I basically just hit the whole thing with a black wash and then dry brushed some silver throughout. I also swapped the cheap plastic cape with a fabric one I cut out for him. Then I took a craft store base and glued some mud/dirt to the top of it and made some rocks out of Styrofoam. Not too much work but it gets the job done.
