Hailing from the frigid Isle of Meris, Diamanta de Lara is the Crown Princess of a proud and powerful race. She is a main character of the Laria Saga, though her true intentions are often veiled from the heroes. Able to manipulate the elements at her will due to the Merisian blood flowing in her veins, Diamanta is relentless in her pursuit of her younger sister, Angeline. Diamanta has a fierce temper and staunch attitude, but would gladly lay down her life to protect those she loves.

I have long wanted to make this character but could never find the right components. I had a Scarlet Witch cape that I picked up for pretty cheap and then got a good deal on an Enchantress. It wasn't until I picked up a Silk that I found Diamanta's face as described in Laria's Shadows and The Answer for Laria, books 2 and 3 of the series. I added flesh tones to her legs and stomach and then gave the clothing and boots a blue and silver paint. The lower part of her dress is actual fabric and her separated sleeves are made from ribbon. I also painted her nails, lips, and eyes. The effects are from various figures and sets. At some point she will have a staff but I wanted to post these first and I can always add the staff later.

Diamanta is one of my favorite characters and my daughter had a blast painting the cape for me.
