Hello everyone, thanks for coming back for another reveal. This next one is a repeat of sorts. It was made for my good buddy Brad Coffey as part of a figure swap we decided to do. He wanted me to remake a figure I just recently finished, so without further adieu, here is my 2nd attempt at Pyro.

Before I get into the details of the figure, a bit about this swap. Brad (along with Sean and Ray) are my 4 local nerd friends that I hang with a few Monday’s a month and we talk toys and comics and movies. We call it Nerd Night. Brad and I usually customize while Sean and Ray chat and show off their fancy new figures they both buy so many of. Haha.

When Brad and I decided to do the swap, Brad’s fatherly instincts kicked in and he suggested we both do a custom for one of the non customizers of the group, so when we swapped out figures with one another, we had something to give the other 2 guys in the group. They both were completely oblivious of this, which made the reveal even more enjoyable. Brad decided to make a 90’s Havok for Sean and a 90’s Feral for me. That Night Thrasher I recently made was actually for Ray (not for a customer as I originally stated) and Pyro here is for Brad. Ok, so now you have the history. Onto the figure!

Unfortunately, there is really nothing different from this Pyro to my last one. All parts are the same as the last run. Spider Man base figure with the old Toybiz Pyro shoulder armor, tubes, head and boot cuffs. Easy peasy.

The sculpting was all done using Apoxie Sculpt. I sculpted the wrist straps and glove cuffs. I also used it to blend the boot tops from the old Pyro figure into the new ones that I sculpted. I also filled the all the peg holes with it as per usual.

The biggest change from my original Pyro is the flame effects. This time I drilled some holes into the palms of the open hands and insert some clear sticks into the bottom of the flame effects. The pole from the flame then gets inserted in the holes in the palms, and voila, floating flame effects for the hot handed Pyro. I think the effect turned out nicely. Im pretty happy with how it works.

Overall, I am quite happy with how Pyro turned out for a second time. Although they are both pretty much the same, I think I like minor paint app changes on this one over my original one. I hope my buddy Brad is happy with his new figure (and Sean and Ray too) cause I know I am beyond stoked with my Feral figure he made for me.
