He's the dark angel of hardcoreHorror thrash doommetal punk music. The Blackest of the black, a demon in devil's clothing. At least that was his stage persona when he rocked the clubs he played with his band. Known also for his fist fights with other opening band lead singers (catch it on youtube lol), Danzig was and probably still is the toughest mofo with a microphone. Have seen a lot of great customs of him in his Misfits days, wanted to make this version of him with a 12inch wingspan. He almost appears reborn in this ref pic, purged of satanic tattoos, battle scars and such. Also really liked the B+W photo quality, so decided to paint the custom the same color as he looks in the pic. Added some hot babes in one of the photos, mostly to show a color contrast with the figure, but also to include those after concert groupies lol. What's a badarse without a coupla sexy party birds? Used the lower part of a Ian Nottingham figure for the legs, and the wings were from a Mcfarlane Alien Spawn. The black harnesses around the wings were borrowed from pieces of a Mcfarlane Raenis figure. Resculpted the face and hair line. Base coat with a dark grey, gradually lighter to show definition. Also painted the recognizable Danzig logo on the back of his shoulders, just so he isn't mistaken for another rock star with wings. Hitting the halfway mark in this series of renegades and roustabouts, Danzig is all about the power and the fury. BTW, check out the7thhouse and overdose on all things Danzig! Thanks for checking this out. Please wait... |
