Hello! Sharing my John Wick custom here with you all. Wanting to make a John Wick was one of the reasons I made the jump into customizing and after a few practice attempts and trying to find a body that I liked I finally made him. Of course once I did, about a week later a Diamaond Select JW was announced at SDCC, haha.

This version is based on my favorite scene in the movie: The Red Circle bathhouse/club.

I went through about 7 different bodies in total; I wanted to make something akin to the Mcfarlane figures because I love the "frozen moments in time" approach, and that meant that something with too many visible articulation points was out of the running. Also, the Neo head is a bit smaller than a lot of the good suited options I'd found, so that was a challenge as well. The Crazy 88 body ended up being perfect.

-The head: I sanded off the hair and sculpted new hair with Procreate then painted the beard and the cut on his cheek.
-The body was mostly a paint job, but I also had to alter the open collar/loose tie of the original to close it up, which was much more difficult than I had anticipated. I cut the sword-holding-hand to accommodate the gun and used one of Neo's hands for the other.
-The base: insulation foam board, balsa wood, felt, plexiglass and paint. Shoutout to Al Figures on youtube for the wealth of informational videos.
