The updates and touch ups of figures I made long ago have been a fun way to dip my toes back into this magnificent puddle, but this was the true test, my first figure I’ve made 100% since my return; Emma Frost! I LOVE Emma Frost, seriously... it mightn’t even be healthy. I’ve always wanted to make a figure of her, especially because I don’t think any of the existing figures really capture her, so I’ve made a few attempts during my time as a customizer... I made her New X-Men outfit and I made one of her lesser worn looks from X-Men: First Class... both were horrible and made me wary of ever attempting another Emma, lest I besmirch her further. When deciding what Emma I wanted to make first come my return I thought long and hard... ultimately, I wanted my Emma to pop, to be something no one else had done. Whatever your opinion on the cinematic Emma Frost, you can’t deny that she SERVED looks, so I started there. As I got to the end I decided that I wanted it I feel like a comic book look, and to reflect her rightful position as head HBIC of the X-Men, so I played with it a little and decided to do the cape differently and have the X symbol as it’s clips. Also I deviated with the head, partially because full bottle hair spray look was a travesty, but mostly because, as I said, I wanted it to feel “comic booky.” Body- Enchantress Lower legs- Scarlet Witch Arms- Misty Knight (I think?) Hands- Fodder Head- Cast of the Emma or Ms Marvel head... I really can’t tell the difference and the labels have worn off my molds. I’ll probably put her on eBay when I get the nerve ![]() |
