Hello! First time posting here-- big fan of everyone's work and excited to finally throw my hat in.
I love the CW version of Superman, and they make some really great figures of the Arrowverse/Supergirl characters, and I grew tired of waiting for them to release a Superman figure, so I made one myself :)
I came across the Finnick Odair figure while searching for something else and the suit lines were perfect for this-- right down to the shoulder clasps for the cape. I did the following to create this Superman:
-Sanded down the hair, resculpted it with a hot-pen and added the curl and some hair in the front with ProCreate.
-The S shield is also ProCreate, molded to fir the chest.
-I used apoxie sculpt to fill out his traps a bit, add on to the boots, and fill the hole where I mounted a magnet in his back.
-The belt and cape/straps are made from the cape of an old Superman Returns figure.
-The cape is cut from the pillowcase of a sheet set I'd bought a long time ago and never used for some reason. I articulated it with the twist-ties from some figures and airbrushed it to give it a little life.
-The gold cape clasps are pieces of an old Wonder Woman figure's shoulder guards that I cit and glued to the straps.
-The base is from a McFarlane Neo figure (looks like it could be part of a Kryptonian ship or something to do with Brainiac so I thought it was perfect). I inserted and bent an acrylic dowel and afixed a magnet to the end of it.
-Then paint and patience!
