This is the next custom I have just finished working on which is part of a series of figures based on characters from the classic 80’s ‘Jem & the Holograms’ cartoon series.
So this time I was asked to make Roxy in the style of the classic She-Ra Princess of Power figures which were also released in the 80’s.
Her overall look is based on the vintage 12” Roxy doll but with some adjustments to help her fit in better with the vintage POP line.
To make her I used the upper body from a vintage Entrapta figure & the legs & head from a vintage Angella figure
I cut off all Angellas hair & replaced it with new white nylon doll hair which I then styled using the boiling water method.
Her outfit was then painted with enamel paints & I also added some glitter to some parts. Next I made her belt & skirt to fit in the style of the vintage POP figures.
Finally I made her a little guitar based on the one that came with the vintage 12 “ doll.
