Clone Troopers have a lot of cool variants, the LEGO version of this guy looked particularly flashy so I wanted to translate it to 6 inches. It was also an excuse to use the orange Tamiya paint I ordered recently. Tamiya is scary stuff to handpaint with, but if you thin it with alcohol and float/spread it around without stroking it so much, it'll self level and give you a really nice finish. I think you should invest in some drying retarder (gives it a longer time to self level) if you go with these paints. Anyway, basic stuff here, washed the figure well and repainted everything by hand. Yeah, he's missing the shoulder insignia, I'll make it later. I'm far enough behind on other people's projects (and bills) that I can't keep indulging myself. [UPDATE: Added insignia. Printout with tape for protection, used a drop of varnish to "glue" it to the fig.] ![]() |

That said, I do fail sometimes, especially when I'm stressed or whatever. The Blur figure I did a while ago could have been better, for example. I'm usually in such a rush and I feel like that fig suffered for it. (Sorry to whoever commissioned it
