Upper torso-madame mask, arms-hope summers, lower torso and legs-mocking bird, hands-mocking bird, head-hope summers, belt-force awakens han solo, rest was sculpted with aves apoxie resin. I worked on her after work over the course of the last few days but I have been working on her off and on for the last 2 years almost because everytime I would start back on her someone would want me to do something else for them like that green arrow I submitted for example. she has gone through multiple variations since then and finally decided on the recipe she is now, I have never seen it used before and I think it works perfect for the character. I am a big fan of the novels and choices of one was one of my favorites so I really wanted a Mara Jade to go with my Black series. the details on her inner thighs(cobra viper looking detail) was sculpted, all her joints were sanded down and I made sure she was prepped perfectly before painting because this is an action figure I want her to be able to be played with. the thigh strap for the holster was also sculpt as were her glove cuffs. I poured my heart and soul into this figure and I really wanted it to show I don't want people to look at this and say oh he slapped it together in a few days...no it took a lot longer than I am proud to admit it should not have taken that long lol I tried my best to make her face paint look realistic I was limited on the paint I had on hand but I managed to give her a nice gloss over the eyes, a warm tint wash and eye shadow. hope summers is a pretty head sculpt when painted properly and I didn't want it to look like crap.
the han solo belt was an obvious choice not only because she was a smuggler but because it fits her design and face it force awakens han solo is cheap. I wanted the holster to stay in place when you move her thigh and leg so it has a push pin shoved inside of it to keep it from flopping all over the place, It doesn't hinder the movement at all and it helps keep her belt cock eyed hanging off her hip like its supposed to. Mocking bird has a wonderful range on her ball jointed torso so I didn't want to ruin that so the upper torso was modified heavily on the inside to be able to support the lower, that was a royal pain but I feel it was well worth the effort :)
