Recently a few people have asked me if I would be able to make a tabard for the vintage Action Man ‘Space Rangers International’ figure, as the original figure’s uniform was very basic in comparison to the other uniforms in the Space Rangers line.

So I came up with a design & a logo which I thought would fit in with the other uniforms but still be quite simple to suit the overall look of the vintage International uniform.

As he is a communications officer I used the idea of a satellite for his logo & made part of the satellite the letter ‘I’ which stands for ‘International’.
His original uniform was very basic so I did not want to go too mad with the colours which is why I stuck to a silver background & used 2 shades of blue for the details.

Once I had drawn out the patterns for his tabard & arm band on the computer I printed them onto silver leather fabric.

I then made him a belt to which fastens with a snap button.
His belt does not have a holster as he works in communications so I didn’t think he required one. However a holster could be easily added if needed.
