I really like Negasonic’s second movie look. The costume was a massive improvement from the first film and I really liked her gelled Mohawk-like haircut. After I finished my original movie version I started thinking about how to tackle her uniform in a custom. I avoided doing a uniform for the first figure because I was hesitant to paint any joints with a pale yellow, which the original version of her suit would have required. Her newer suit avoids that for the most part so I just needed to find a suit base in the Marvel Legends scale.

I slightly resculpted the upper torso of the newly released Black Widow figure and combined the piece with the same Wave 5 Black Series Leia head, modifying the haircut and piercings to match the second film look. I also incorporated the Leia figure belt into the costume. There is still very little photography available from the waist down of the new look so I muddled through.

I wanted a bit of versatility with the look so I sourced a sleeveless coat from a BBC Robin Hood figure for a ‘first mission’ look for the figure. It removes easily and allows for her to be displayed in both styles. No articulation has been lost and she scales with the previous version accounting for the change of boots from flats to wedges, which matches the films.
