Medusa queen of the Inhumans! She had to be impressive and regal, with one heck of a head of hair! Unfortunately Hasbro botched this figure hard. Fortunately I felt like making my own! I spent forever sculpting the multiple hair tendrils, and making them reconfigurable to increase display options. She looks awesome as part of a display, being carried along by her giant flowing hair. Please wait... |

Mosh's Medusa is the most intricately fashioned figure I have EVER seen. Not only all of the Hair pieces, but also in the figure herself. This one truly warrants all of the praise I can muster.
She stands separately on her own with a great flow of thick red hair that tendrils out in many directions and flows all the way to the ground and crawls with tendrils also on the ground around her. Now she is wearing high heeled battle boots that do touch the ground without the additions. So she definitely gives you the idea that she is fully in charge of any suggested movement, of which there is a lot. All of the hair tendrils are made of some kind of solid, but not brittlely breakable plastic. They are movable with no fear of breaking. There is an added extra smaller piece of hair tendrils that adds to the already ample volume and lifts her slightly. And then there is another main stand that is an enormous flow of hair tendrils that holds her up off of the ground in a swirling mass of red hair tendrils displaying her in full majesty of her queenly manner. It almost gives one the impression they are little mind-controlled snakes winding around doing her bidding. The hair color is ideally chosen. Don't think I have seen such a bright red used for her before.
It all fits together in any of the ways you choose to display her. This is one of the most amazing art pieces I have ever seen. The detailing is FAR beyond what any custom artist would normally attempt. Don't know what inspired you to create her, Bob. But I'm impressed that you spent this obviously amount of time and planning,.. and then actually sell her. I would have kept this one. I strongly feel that she should really be displayed in a museum on some type of turning display case. She really IS just THAT impressive in person!
She does have a certain Jayne Mansfield/Kitten Natividad kind of quality about her. Not sure I can quite put my finger on just what that is (cause I'd prolly have to use the whole hand). But in person, it is actually not as big a distraction as you might guess in photos. And when you see that she has very high heeled boots (a fabulous touch!!) along with the very big hair, it certainly adds to that sort of Dolly Parton-esque feel.
But she really does appear very regal and poised. Her hands and fingers are positioned in a delicate way I have not seen before. The choice of colors puts us well in mind of her classic appearances. LOVE the choice of the straight Zorro-like mask, which I think Kirby used to put her in.
I must also say that her eyes are inordinately far apart on her face (almost Bjork-like). Don't know if that was a choice. But it really works to give her an out of the ordinary/terrigen mists evolved touch. It also speaks slightly of a eastern European/Slavic look. Which is another brilliant touch, if you can add a slightly Slavic look to like a Wanda Maximoff or any Inhuman figure. Only the finest artists would dream or attempt such small details. There is also a calm demeanor in her eyes and mouth and overall posture that is PERFECT for her regal countenance. Both the face, posture and hair attachments all IDEALLY add to making her the perfect Marvel Medusa.
This figure so clearly captures this specific character so brilliantly in it's conception that I would not hesitate to call her a Bob Mosh MASTERPIECE! I really can't rave enough about her. She is so far beyond any other Medusa figure I have seen (and I have one or two other good ones), that she should be hailed the one and only version that there should be. I wish pictures really showed more of what you have created here. Magnificent work! Truly outstanding creativity here!!
I have just NEVER seen anything this brilliantly produced before. UNBELIEVABLE work here, Bob! You just crushed this one.
I am floored.
