Ah, Winslow Schott, the terrible Toyman. In his first appearance in 1943 he's on a pogostick, because what more could strike fear into the heart of the Man of Steel than a pogostick? Later, on he became les goofy, and more unstable, even murdering the second Toyman, Jack Nimball, for having usurped his spot on The Challenge of the SuperFriends Show (at least that was my theory). Then the 90's came and in order to become EXTREME! Schott shaved his head, wore black, and instead of making dangerous toys, he began abducting children. But the pouches, where were the pouches? The Toyman was fun to make. Sometimes you look at a character and wonder if you can actually pull it off. As simple as he looks, I wasn't quite sure if I could, but now I'm pretty satisfied with how he turned out. But sadly, he's a commission so he's not long for my house. Honestly, I started him so long ago that I don't remember what head I used since I had to build it up to look much fuller. The glasses came from a Harry Potter figure. The hair came from a Civil War Winter Soldier figure. The base body was a '66 Penguin figure with a vest sculpted on. The jacket was heavily modified BvS Nightmare Batman coat (the cheap figures, not the Multiverse version), while the bow tie was a combination of a Suicide Squad Katana belt and sculpting. And that's it, now he's ready to torment Superman. Thanks for looking! ![]() |
