I wanted to do a civilian version of Peter Parker from the MCU. He’s got a lot of costume changes throughout the films so I decided to just go with what I had at hand to make a general teenage costume for him. I had a Diablo from the Suicide Squad Multiverse line just gathering dust in my garage. His costume seem to fit my needs. After I removed all identifiable tattoos and logos from the figure and costume I took just under an inch of height from the figure at the ab crunch and repaired the newly shortened torso with two part epoxy. I broke the ball joint in the neck in my haste to take off the head sculpt and so I drilled a screw into the neck and moulded putty around the screw head to create a ball joint that fit the Marvel Legends Parker head I was using. After that I repainted the areas that required it and drilled out out the wrists with my Dremel to fit in some hands from a Mulder figure from a vintage X-files toyline. I used a standard Marvel Legends Homecoming Spider-man as a guide for the height allowing for slight differences due to hair and shoes. I also gave the figure the backpack from the ToyBiz Spider-man toyline. I’m quite happy with the finished piece. It is photographed with other figures from the MCU Legends line - to give a sense of scale - on my custom Loading Bay diorama. Thanks for looking. ![]() |
