So through a series of trades and Ebay lot purchases I got all the pieces to make a 2nd Hobgoblin. I liked his fantasy look so I decided to make him a fantasy figure. Prepped for paint rub before assembling.

Model Master paints used
Flat black for boots and sleeves
Leather brown for pants, pouches and camo markings
Clear green over silver for buckles and armor bits
Zinc oxide for tunic and hood.

Bow, arrows, and quiver are from LOTR Legolas.

Sword and dagger are from some random 90's indie figure I picked up at my local comic book store.


Grundulak is a 12th level Beastmaster, 8th level Ranger, and 8th level Assassin. He has 3 familiars, Virago a tiger that he rescued from a hunting pit, Shadow an ape he saved from poachers, and Strom a wolf cub whose pack was killed by trappers for their pelts.

Grundulak has little love for people due to his upbringing and past. Shunned for being exceptionally tall for his race he found acceptance with animals. He helps animals in need and protects them from sport hunting. He has no issue with those who hunt for food. Just those who hunt for profit.

He is an exceptional woodsman and is highly proficient with short swords, long swords, daggers, pole arms, crossbows and bows.

As an assassin he prefers to take targets outside of towns when possible. Attacking them on the road or when they stop to make camp. His favorite tactic is to have Strom sit in the middle of the road and when they to attempt to capture or kill him Virago jumps out into the road and spooks the horses. Grundulak and Shadow then take the targets out from range. Grundulak has shown Shadow how to throw javelins with uncanny accuracy.

Grundulak is the first to be hired by the warrior witch Caulder Zane to help him take out a group of traveling heroes that have been frustrating his mistress the Demon Lord Rabdos the Strangler. Rabdos being the "patron goddess" of assassins. Grundulak agrees when he finds out that one of the heroes is a target that Grundulak thought he eliminated on a previous job. The human who now goes by the name Terron the Warlock.

Grundulaks main equipment consist of an elven bow and quiver that he kept from his first assassination job, and a matching sword and dagger that are enchanted. The dagger and be thrown and return to the wielders hand. It does now fly back through the air to the owner. The owner snaps his fingers and the dagger reappears in his hand this works from up to a mile away. The sword allows the wielder to move 12% faster in all aspects than they would normally be capable of.
