As with my Gandalf the White custom I took the best parts of variants of a Figure and put them together to get an ultimate version as it were. I used the same type of Helms Deep Aragorn head used for my Strider in my Fellowship of the Ring post and the undercloth parts from the Aragorn with Brego version with the articulation of the regular Pelenor Fields Aragorn and the dagger from the Helms Deep one and sword from King Aragorn. This was a fairly time consuming sewing project and the main point is that aragorns uniform is Black not blue. In certain lights it might look bluish but it is black and a repaint isn’t enough and doesn’t always work. Same with just taking the red part of the sewed cape and using black where the blue was it’s too small and the wrong shape so I redesigned the shape to make it look like the film. I used my Helms Deep as usual for shots and love the clustered fighting photo as our heroes are surrounded and all present with soldiers dying left and right! The final product has come out looking way more iconic and glad I finally have a in my view perfect version because even as a kid I hated that original head and even when I did a headswap with a king aragornhead it didn’t give off the right vibe so this new idea and sleek look works well.
