The figure started as a normal Hasbro MP-10 Masterpiece Optimus Prime figure that I was commissioned to do. It was completely disassembled and hand painted with a 5/0 brush and Vallejo Acrylic paints. There are many styles like this out there but this is my personal style that I've developed over the last 5 years. Every detail was painted on this figure. I'd be terrified to pose this fig, firstly because of fear of paintrub marring the hard work, and also because it looks like a pepakura model, adding another sense of frailty, even if it is imagined

Am not even a G1 MP fan but I'd be very tempted if they'd done it up like that. That toon shading really makes it look spectacular. Hm, I'm tempted to load up Transformers: Devastation on my PS4 again.

Thank you... for the fists pic a light source (where the light is coming from) and do your shadows then do your highlights. Do it the same way on the other hand.

yeah,I know...it's just lower arms and the fists to finish this,but somehow I'm never satisfied with the result man,I thought I've already seen a perfect cel shaded optimus,but this is really a new level of sickness...applause again!

The best way I can say to do it, which works for me, is to keep the light source the same as you rotate the figure so it looks the same way no matter what angle you look at it. It really helps finish the overall effect. I appreciate the compliments. It's definitely not an easy effect to pull off.

what the f**k...that's a hell of a paintwork!!!

I'm workin on a cel shaded figure too,but on some parts (especially the fists) I've been getting really frustrated,so I had to take it besides for a while
