So here's a custom I've wanted to make for six years or so since the Bucky Cap body was first unveiled. Of course I wasn't customizing then, but it was definitely worth the wait, since better parts since came along. I love "The Death of Jean DeWolff" story, and think Sin-Eater definitely deserves a figure. I don't know when or if Hasbro will ever get to him; he's a serial killer and doesn't have the longevity or appeal of, say, Carnage, so I decided it was up to me to make one. Plus, Hasbro doesn't seem to like making actual guns for their figures, which is sort of what inspired this figure. With the recent news of a new Bishop figure coming, I decided that I could finally take his shotgun for this custom. It's a little big, but until a better double barrel shotgun comes along, I'm satisfied with it.

Recipe:
Head: Black Bolt (calm head)
Body: Eel
Hands, boots: Boomerang
Belt: Shatterstar
Shotgun: Bishop (ToyBiz Series XII/Apocalypse Series)

I shaved down Black Bolt's mouth and mask lines before sculpting over it with Milliput. I also pulled out the tuning fork and filled it in with Milliput, too. I needed a head that would work on this body (which I got for $5 at a Five Below), as well as a head with sculpted mask line around the eyes, and I think it worked really well here. I also sculpted his collar and glove cuffs.

One thing I noticed while looking back through the comics, is that Sin-Eater isn't colored consistently throughout the story, so I just picked and chose which colors I liked best. I originally painted his mask, gloves, and boots a bright green, but then drybrushed a darker green I mixed onto them. His pants and belt were originally dark purple like his shirt, but I drybrushed red over them to get that funky color he sports. I then Modpodged him to flatten out his glossy colors.

Now I have a pretty cool, somewhat obscure villain that I've always wanted for my Black Costume Spider-Man and Daredevil to fight.
