Might be my last custom for a wee while but I couldn't take a hiatus without finishing this piece. The original Superman: Doc Savage!
Criminally under represented character in modern times (just like The shadow) both in media and merchandise, hopefully the new movie made by Shane Black and starring Dwayne Johnson as Doc will won't stuck in production hell and will come out sooner than later.
But basically that movie announcement was my reason to choose a WWE Elite Rock as the base figure and I think he makes a pretty good Doc Savage (or Rock Savage haha).
Sculpted the hair from milliput and then painted it with citadel paint (also the body because his tattoos were impossible to remove) then applied some Humbrol varnish to make him look more bronze. Now, I might have overdone the varnish a wee bit but I think it suits the character since he is called "The man of bronze"! Also the hair is not exactly accurate to the pulp covers but I think a slicked back style works better in this case.
Shirt and trousers are sewn (then ripped which was a heartbreaking experience), belt and boots are faux leather with a piece of wire as the belt buckle.
