I bought a couple of figures recently that filled long-standing holes in my collection, however, each needed just a bit of tweaking... Poison Ivy seems to get a tough break when it comes to action figures. For a character whose big thing is seduction, most of the action figure representations are... well, just a little fugly. By far one of the best is the Secret Files figure, however, it is not only difficult to come by, but also quite expensive when you do happen across one. So when I found one on Ebay that wasn't too extortionate, I snapped her up. The figure was not without its issues though. I found the vines snaking through her hair and across her chest to be too thick and cumbersome and felt that they looked somewhat awkward. In removing the vines, small holes were left in the chest and sides of head where they had originally plugged in. I filled in the hole in her chest with Green Stuff, sanded it down and painted over it, matching the skin tone as closely as I could to the base colour. I didn't like the orange shade of the figures hair, so painted it red, as I always preferred this colour hair on Poison Ivy. I trimmed the small white flowers from the original vines and glued these at random onto her head (using two to cover aforementioned peg holes). The base, pheromone bottle, & vines wrapped around her are from a Yamato Poison Ivy figurine. ![]() |
