Here's a custom I'd been planning and working on for a while. I got Dazzler for cheap off Amazon around Black Friday and thought the bellbottoms would work for the Alejandra Jones version of Ghost Rider. Her solo book, while short, was still an enjoyable read. I wanted a figure of her since she appeared in the "Circle of Four" Agent Venom crossover, and thought with a new X-23 figure coming, now was the perfect time to make her.

Recipe:
Head: Skull from Baron Mordo/Dormammu Build-a-Figure
Upper torso, right arm, left upper arm, lower legs: Dazzler
Lower torso, upper legs, feet: Vintage/Retro Black Widow
Hands, left forearm: Okoye Build-a-Figure
Wrist guards: Polaris
Shoulderpad: Nakia
Lightning effect: Target Exclusive Thor Ragnarok 2-pack

I've seen a handful of customs of this character before, but I thought all the skulls used looked rather masculine, so to make her head look more anatomically correct, I shaved down the brow, cheek bones, corners of the jaw bone, and cleft of the chin until it become more feminine and pointed. I sliced the top off of Okoye's right arm's metal bracelet and glued it under the top of her left bracelet's point, but above her wrist guard.

After shaving down the joints for minimal paint rub, I painter her skull grey with a white over top, black for the eye sockets and nose cavity, lower legs and arms. I painted her bracelet silver and wrist guards red. I had a thickening/drying yellow which I used to paint her chest's skin to give it a somewhat sculpted effect to suggest fire. I painted the flame on the head yellow before adding orange and finally a red to the flame's tips.

I had a setback; I originally sculpted the design of her costume's torso, but when I heated and went to reassemble the two torso pieces 90% of the sculpt cracked off. I decided it best to paint the design on, save for the buttons and zipper, which I sculpted. I think it turned out pretty well, all things considered.

I also sculpted her right arm's upper bicep to look more squared and wrinkled as it looks in the comic due to her outfit. I glued the shoulderpad on her left shoulder. I also then used an X-acto knife to remove the desired parts of the wrist guards.

Upon reading her solo book, I discovered she had the ability to summon lightning, so I borrowed the 2-pack Thor's effect to really seal the deal since I don't have her typical hand-scythe. I think it looks really good with her.

This was a challenging custom to make, but I think it all worked out pretty well in the end, and I'm glad to own this somewhat obscure character from Ghost Rider's history.
