So this is my second custom ever and it was a bit more involved than my previous Beast custom. I love Hercules as a Mythological hero, and wasn't impressed with the Marvel Legends one. MY custom is a weird mix, and I aimed to make a more mythological Hercules that you could imagine would one day become the Marvel Hercules.

I hadn't seen anyone use the Absorbing Man baf torso or arms in a Herc custom before, and since they are pretty inexpensive I decided they would work for me. I had to strip the paint from his right metal arm to get to his skin tone plastic base. I ordered a custom head sculpt off of ebay (sorry I forgot where from specifically) Definitely needed to dremel out the head socket in order to fit the big ball peg on the torso. Also, I cut out a section on the back of the neck to increase head articulation.

This is the first time I had to crack open a figure so that was an experience. The hips and legs of absorbing man were not to my liking so I had to switch that out with ML Colossus' hip and legs.

Paint:
I had to mix paints to get a custom skin tone and completely painted over the red and orange of the Colossus Legs.
I also added paint detail for the chest and arm hair.

Accessories:
I gave him a soft goods skirt, and chest strap made out of a belt and used the excess to create the leather wrist straps.
In an effort to give him that mythological look I wanted to give him the Lion head dress. I found a perfect, soft lion toy and literally skinned it to create the head piece. It was a huge pain but I like it.
