This is a continuation of an earlier project I'd done. I'll try to post both versions in one go because essentially, they're the same figure, just in different wheelchairs. As I've said many times before in various custom threads and posts, Barbara Gordon was a personal hero of mine, moreso when she was injured by the Joker and became Oracle. Here's a strong female role model, who happens to be disabled, and she's out there showing that you can save the world, no matter who you are.
To attach a Barbie head to a CY Girl style body, I had to add a flange of plastic to the neck. Usually, I cut up piece of airline tubing intended for aquariums, but sometimes, I also use twisted paper clips to make metal flanges. I've used small washers, with a slice cut into it and bent open and then bent closed again to fit on the original small plastic neck post. All of these tactics work well. At this point in time, since the doll has been on my shelf for months, I can't remember what I used, and don't feel confident to remove the head now, lest I inadvertently undo my hard work to get the head to fit on the body in the first place.
She uses a Sea International body, similar to TTL or CY Girl style bodies, and is highly articulated. She's dressed in Barbie's top, Ken's jeans and sneakers, sometimes a vest from the Disney Store Exclusive Star Wars 10" Jyn Erso figure, and originally had a wheelchair made from Meccano parts, and later, I used a kit meant for the Lammily doll, a buildable wheelchair. For the Lammily wheelchair, I configured it so the foot rests were positioned at 90 degrees, and had to use a small, handmade, pillow under her position the figure at an adequate height when seated in the chair.
