Ok, technically it ISN'T an X-Wing, but for easy write up sake, let's pretend it is. I snagged it on clearance and had it sitting around for a while before I finally got some inspiration for it. The goal here: Outback X-Wing. We've seen the cookie-cutter military vehicles of the Empire and the ragtag but still organized ships of the Rebellion; for this, I wanted to do more of a personal vehicle. Smaller spaceships are like the cars of the Star Wars galaxy, and I wanted to go for a more personal look. I wanted to make a ship that looked like it had been owned for a long time, was beaten and weathered and generally kept maintained by an every day farmer or traveler. I wanted it to look like it had been found or scavenged or bought and then personalized (hence more of less symmetric, less perfect paint scheme), in short I wanted a more everyday vehicle, which is what I tried to get here. Vehicle features: -Holds one 3.75 inch figure -Unique design -Open/close wings -Open/close cockpit and landing gear -Firing missile -Custom paint design -Sealed to help protect paint. ![]() |
