I love nearly everything about the design of the Gondorian culture in the Lord of the Rings films. It just struck all kinds of chords for me. Faramir's armor was no exception. While I liked the figure a ton when it was released, time has not been good to it. Mainly, I don't like the disproportionate arms and teeny little pauldrons on the shoulders. Also, the helmet flared out badly when on his head. So, I set out to improve! Recipe: Coronation Faramir torso, head and shoulders. Isildur arms Armored Faramir pelvis, legs, boots and hands. All armor and clothing is from armored Faramir as well, apart from the pauldrons from the Gondorian Swordsman. I had to reshape the pauldrons and helmet to fit right. Also, transplanted Faramir's forearm greaves to the Isildur arms. Overall, I'm much happier with the figure now! ![]() |
