First time poster and first time custom maker so go easy on me please. The shadow is one of my all time favourite fictional characters and I really wanted to have a figure of him but no company wants to make one. I've decided to use a Gotham Select Alfred figure as the base and I will use some other Gotham figures for my future pulp related customs too. They have decent articulation and some have a couple of useful accessories too. The hat is from some WWE figure, repainted, I've made the ring from some plastic bits I've found lying around (would sculpt it know but I didn't have clay at that point). I've sewn the coat, made the belt with some fabric and wire for the beltbuckle and the cape has a wire in the lining although it's a bit hard to bend, if I ever do another cape again I will buy a softer wire. The pistols are from Lara croft Figure (but I might get another Zsasz figure for a future Darkman custom and use those hands and pistols for this one). I had some plans for this before I've started but I was figuring out a lot of the details and methods as I went along, but for a first custom I quite like how it turned out. I might go back in the future to change some stuff (like the hat for example or the pistols) but for the time I'm satisfied with it. ![]() |

It's from a Jakks figure.
Although if you look at my other Shadow figure, I've done a full hat there from faux leather. It wasn't easy but I much prefer that one. Better fit and look.
Used a video called "How to Make a Doll Size Fedora - Doll Crafts" from the channel Myfroggystuff (sorry, no links allowed here) as a guideline but it's a bit fiddly in a smaller scale (took 2 tries) and with leather. Also I've used a lot of fabric glue (it's kinda rubbery when it dries) to hold it on the head and keep it in shape. But if you have patience I would give it a shot.
Good luck with your custom, hope I helped.
