I have never made a Storm figure, apparently. No Amazon from Amalgam. No Bloodstorm. No Age of Apocalypse or X-Men Evolution designs. And not even her classic white costume. Until now. I'm surprised I made it through five years of selling figures and taking commissions and she's never come up. When I got asked to make this one, I was asked to use the old female build so she would stay in scale with both of Storm's official figures. Or, well, all three. One just has a different cape, I think. I used the boxset one, and cut the collar off the cape. Sculpted up the shoulder pads, upper arms, and emblems on her chest. By not gluing the cape to her back, her arms could still have some mobility. Stays just fine thanks to those wristbands. Wanted to build off the official head, but it wasn't lining up right. So, I grabbed a cast head from AvacsLab and sculpted the hair on it. Still not great at that part, but getting better at it. Actually sculpted a base for the length, then added the rest of the hair around that. Full repaint, and done! Gonna have to get Bloodstorm on the list soon.
