For the "Childhood Hero" custom contest, I thought of action movie hero Bruce Lee who inspired me when I was young to enjoy martial arts and learn more about different styles.

Bruce Lee possessed amazing speed and power. He developed his own hybrid system and philosophy (Jeet Kune Do). He did this by keeping an open mind to overcome limitations and to devise the most effective techniques. As a teacher, he did not discriminate nor forbid any students who were willing to learn his skills.

His work as an actor/filmmaker in the Hong Kong cinema industry opened a cultural pathway to the western world. The popularity he gained would open doors for martial arts action movies in America.

In the movie Enter The Dragon, he had one of his best film roles as a Shaolin martial artist sent secretly by British Intelligence to infiltrate a tournament of fighters. The tournament was held on a private island owned and operated by a suspected crime lord. He fought against many henchmen, bodyguards and eventually battled the main villain who had armed himself with a metal claw. He was wounded by the villain’s claw, but still found a way to defeat him just like any other opponent.

To make this custom figure, I used the following parts:
Body - Nuke
Legs - Anti-Venom
Hands- Nuke
Fists - Hyperion and Sentry
Pants - modified from Toybiz WCW wrestler
Head - Tekken Law repainted

I chose to make his battle damaged appearance from Enter the Dragon because it's Bruce Lee's most iconic look from all his movies.
