This is probably my favorite concept from my first year. And was actually one of the first figures I can remember being asked to make. I liked working on it since I could think about how the symbiote and the force would work together. I imagined it as something like the force being channeled through the symbiote. Thus, black force lightning. My original was built on the gladiator body, with Storm lightning glued to his arm. Toothpicks were used for the spikes, and I actually used some sculpt to attach the lightsaber to his hand. I wanted it to be consumed in the symbiote. Head was from some executioner figure. Noted for comparison. For this one, I used my new favorite build combo. Upper torso, arms, and upper legs were from Hyperion, with the lower torso and lower legs coming from Gladiator. Head was also Hyperion's with the full hood sculpted on. Also sculpted up the spikes. For the area where the symbiote covered, I kept the emblem white, but I wanted it right on his skin so it would look burned into his flesh. This definitely made the emblem more tedious. I was going to take the same approach with the lightsaber, but I forgot to check and didn't end up having a basic red one. But, I love how he looks with the double bladed instead. Some cast lightning, painted black, and with a magnet added. Small metal piece glued to his arm, and the lightning now magnetically attaches. Full repaint, and done!
