I decided to make my own version of Darth Maul as he appeared in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. In that movie, which was his first appearance, he didn't say much at all and he said nothing when he battled his opponents.
I used a Marvel Legends Mordo figure body and build-a-figure Hobgoblin head. I added horns and repainted. The double bladed lightsaber came from a Disney store exclusive die cast metal Darth Maul figure.
Jedd thanks! That's a huge compliment coming from you, a Star Wars fan and Jedi yourself. It's sort of my own take on a mean looking expression for Darth Maul, my first Star Wars custom.
Well done !!! As bad as that movie was Maul was a bad ass character that could have been so much more ( they learned nothing with the creation of boba fett in empire and his lame death in jedi, and threw away another great story tool!!!).... Any way great work!!!!!
Thanks Edgy 3 and you're right in comparing Darth Maul to Boba Fett. They both didn't say much but were impressive (but both died in the movies unfortunately).
