I've made many Mighty figures in the past, but this is the first time I've made a classic style one using Tomy's classic Sonic figure instead of Jazwares'. Of course the method is pretty much the same, cut off Sonic's spines, sculpt on armadillo shell and ears out of apoxie, repaint. But I think it's worth noting that as I cut off the spines I discovered that Tomy's classic Sonic has a solid head like the old Jazwares figures had instead of a hollow one like the Boom figures. I'm surprised this didn't make the figure top heavy like the Jazwares one, but I suppose the fact that it's slightly smaller means the head lacks the mass to overpower the plastic in the legs or the friction of the hip joints (2 problems the Jazwares figure faced.)
